Kricel takes privacy very seriously and follows the guidelines of the applicable laws and regulations, including - Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), the California Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (“SOPIPA”), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. Today, people are rightly concerned about how their personal information is used and shared. Kricel agrees with our customers/parents to be transparent with their children (or user monitored) and inform them upfront that they will have their computer related activity monitored.

We try our best to protect Customers Information that is in our possession from misuse, unauthorized access or loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We are using stripe for sensitive information like credit card details to keep the user data safe. While we attempt to secure your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to protect this information under all circumstances beyond our control.

What information does Kricel Collect?

Account User Data

Information we collect when you register for a free/paid account, such as:

First Name
Last Name
Phone (optional)
Email
Language preference
User IDs and Password
Demographic information like postal address, city, area etc.
Billing name
Billing phone
Billing address
Payment method

Persistent Identifiers on Marketing Pages Data collected through the use of cookies and pixels from tools (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads), such as:

IP addresses,
Type of Browser and version,
Internet service provider (ISP),
Referrer URL,
Exit pages, the files viewed on our marketing sites (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.),
Operating system, and
Date/time stamp
Approximate location (e.g., nearest city or town)

How we Use the Data we collect

The personal data we collect can be used for support, sending marketing communications, announce any software updates or any promotional activities.
The operational data we collect can be used for providing Dashboard content and reports, conduct aggregated analytics, send email reports to account holder, customization of website or product according to your need.

Your Data

Parents (or registered users) signed up on the Kricel website and installed software on devices that need to be monitored. We collect data from registered/monitored devices and display them to the Parents' dashboard (or registered users). Data collected includes applications, website, screenshots, document titles, etc. This data is automatically deleted after a specific interval of time. Kricel process only data and help parents; we only provide services and automatically delete data. This data is the property of the registered user. We will track and try our best to inform you accurately about the application, website, and screenshots to help you with your children's activity.

Kricel helps process data and display it to the registered user dashboard. Kricel follows all privacy laws and terms of service. As a registered user, you will inform the person or individual you are monitoring and only add a person or individual who has authorize you to be monitored. Parents with user id and password can only access their dashboard; you will not disclose user id and password to any unauthorized person. You will inform Kricel in case of a password breach. Registered users are responsible for any wrong activities and unauthorized use of the Kricel software. Kricel software automatically deletes user data after 90 days. We may share only your contact info to our partners for offers and promotions. In case if Kricel is sold (or merged), registered user data will be transferred (or shared) with new company. Email can be sent to info@kricel.com to delete all user data. We follow California Privacy Act (the “CCPA”).

Children Privacy

Kricel takes the protection of data and information, particularly children’s data, very seriously. As part of its commitment to protecting children’s data, Kricel adheres to the practices outlined below:

Children’s data is handled in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to Children’s data privacy, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA), and all applicable state or federal student data privacy protection laws.
We do not knowingly allow children under the age of 18 to sign up for their own accounts. Parents register themselves and it’s the parent’s responsibility to inform their children’s if they are monitoring the computer system of their children or family members.
We ensure that Children’s privacy is protected and neither of your data is shared with anyone without your permission, unless required by law. We don’t sell the data to any 3rd party for Advertising purposes.

Kricel and our partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer and track users’ movements during your visit to our website or use of our Products, and gather information about you, where you access our website or Products, how you use our Products and services, and to provide you with information about our Products you might be interested in buying.

	Analytics	To provide our products and improve your user experience on our websites and with our Products, we uses cookies and other identifiers to gather usage and performance data. For example, we use cookies to count the number of unique visitors to a web page or service or to our blog and to develop other statistics about the operations of our Products. This includes cookies from Kricel and from third-party analytics providers. We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve our websites and Products.

Security

How we secure collection of your data

Data is Encrypted in Transit – All account information is encrypted in transit and stored in a secure data center hosted by Amazon AWS cloud.

We use encrypted connection protocols including HTTPS, SSL and TLS.
Communication between the AWS cloud and the agent uses HTTPS/TLS with AES-128 encryption.

We don’t have access to your data. Since parents creates userid/password for children, data is visible to parents only.

How we secure storage of your data

We store the data in AWS cloud. In our opinion, AWS has best security features in Industry.

How we support identity authentication

Kricel supports Single Sign-On.
Passwords - We do not have access to any password details. All passwords are encrypted in transit, and stored in a secure data center.
Credit cards - Kricel never stores credit card details associated with your account. All credit card information is collected and processed by a Stripe, PCI compliant payment processor. Your card information is passed directly to them, meaning your credit card information never touches our servers.

Account Holder Promise

Take consent from every individual he/she is monitoring.
Legally they are parent or guardian.
Promise not to misuse Kricel software.
Account holder is liable/responsible for any misuse of Kricel Software. By signing up for Kricel you agree for same.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and keep Kricel team (founders, directors, employees, partners, contractors and anyone associated with Kricel), harmless from all claims, damages and losses we may suffer relating to or arising out of the processing of User Data and other third party personal data submitted to our systems during/before/after the course of your use and our provision of the Services. Registered users are responsible for any misuse of Kricel software.

International Transfers of Data

Kricel is using 3rd party technology to help provide best user experience and service. These providers will be processing the Account and Registration Data through their portal. You give us permission to subcontract these services to following companies:

AWS Amazon Inc., for storing the data in the cloud.
Stripe for processing the payment and billing data. These companies fall under the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Consent

When you create a Kricel account and register for the service, Kricel assumes that you have read and accepted the Kricel policies listed on our Privacy page and the Terms of service page. Mainly you agree to Kricel's collection and processing of your data and the data of your monitored accounts by Kricel Corp. and by subcontractors like stripe, amazon, etc.
We have the right to revoke your data monitoring if we deem it applicable without any retroactive impact to our business.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We will be making changes to the Privacy Policy as our user base grows and if we deem it necessary. If we revise the policy, we will update this page along with the new date of revision. Please check this page often to get the latest policy.
